Awards and recognition are incredibly important… The aim of all inspirational or humanitarian work is not to be recognised for it as it comes from the heart, but it’s a very rewarding feeling when you are. It is motivation to keep on going and a nice opportunity to reflect on your hard work so far, as well as spread the word about what you/your organisation does.
I have a lot of ambitions relating to working with other women in tech, as well as ambitions for helping fellow female musicians get into learning further down the line. To win would be a lovely celebration of local Boltonian talent – my fellow women at Tao Digital – and of course, a delightful surprise!
