As a founding ambassador of SheInspires, Edith has passionately advocated for women’s endeavors and leadership, sparking inspiration for over 40 years.

Edith’s dedication extends beyond SheInspires; she serves as the Trustee and Chair of the Manchester Arena Bomb fund, exemplifying resilience and compassion during challenging times. Former Vice Lord-Lieutenant and High Sheriff, Edith’s wealth of experience enriches her role as our esteemed Patron.

Recognised with an OBE for services to The Red Cross, Edith continues to lead as the President of Red Cross in Greater Manchester. A magistrate since 1994, Chair of Crimestoppers, and recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Bolton in 2009, Edith Conn is a true pioneer and path-breaker.

Baroness Trish Morris of Bolton OBE DL

Baroness Morris, the first Chancellor of the University of Bolton is President of the National Benevolent Institution and a trustee of The Disability Partnership and The Transformation Trust.

She is a School Governor and trustee of Bolton School and  Co-Chair of Women in Public Policy and on the executive committee of the Association of Governing Bodies of Independent Schools. Baroness Morris was a member of the Advisory Committee to the Abbot of Ampleforth Abbey from 1998 to 2004, served as Deputy Chairman of the Salford Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and as a Director of Bolton Lads and Girls Club and was a member of the Conservative Party’s Social Work Commission.

She joined the Board of Trustees of UNICEF UK in 2007. She succeeded Lord Patten as President of Medical Aid for Palestinians after he had resigned the post in June 2011 upon becoming Chairman of the BBC Trust.
