I am currently offering my services for free as I know how desperate these girls are.

What will you do with the award?

I would design a bespoke program for them, that would run over 12 weeks. I would love to implement a final achievement reflection session, where we all joined together to celebrate their progress, bringing well needed friendships together.

Ability Consultancy NW Ltd

Disability Awareness for All. We would use the funding to enhance our school’s programme “See Me Not My CP” by offering a number of schools a free or part-funded session to inspire young people who may find school a struggle due to their disability or other external factors such as bullying or loneliness. We want to tackle the level of discrimination experienced by disabled young people in school by educating their peers using our Xplore DisAbility App and showing them that having a disability does not define who they are. We want everyone to see that anything is possible and that they can achieve their dreams. We will do this by using the lived experiences of our deliverers, including my own experience of school underperformance and my eventual transformation into a GB para-athlete and award-winning business owner. This project will help young people realise they can achieve whatever they want and have a place alongside their peers. Each session will include a motivational talk and a practical session using the app and where suitable, we will do a more in-depth session looking at equality, diversity and inclusion.

What will you do with the award?

Part funded schools sessions – £700 Marketing £300.

My project is to invest in professional support to update my web page with my new offerings. I am now a certified practitioner in Womb Healing & Womb Massage Therapy. These offerings are not yet on my page as a service I provide due to the costs involved. The implications of doing this means more women being able to access these services which are fundamental to there general health and wellbeing. Womb healing is a holistic approach to restoring balance & harmony to the female reproductive system. Womb healing embraces the opportunity to reconnect with your body, honour your feminine essence & cultivate a deep sense of wellbeing & empowerment, at any stage of life. Womb healing can still be done if the womb has been removed as the womb space holds her energetic blueprint. The healing can also help with the trauma of her being removed. Womb healing is important for women’s health because the health of the reproductive system is closely linked to overall health & wellbeing. The womb is a place where life is created, nurtured & birthed ~ also where life experiences are stored, felt & expressed. Imbalances in the womb can cause physical, mental, emotional, spiritual pain & disconnection. They can also affect health, happiness, relationships, sexuality & purpose. Womb healing is a journey & path back to yourself. Physical and emotional trauma can profoundly impact the womb. Womb healing can help physical trauma from invasive medical procedures, miscarriage, abuse, termination, accidents, hysterectomy, and disease. Emotional trauma from grief/loss, abuse, emotional distress, intense stress, violated boundaries, shame/guilt, and fear. Physical imbalances or trauma may manifest as physical symptoms of menstrual irregularities or pain, fertility challenges, Endometriosis, Fibroids, PCOS, pelvic pain, lower back pain, anorgasmia. Emotional imbalances or trauma may manifest as emotional imbalances, anxiety, depression, mood swings, stress, dissociation, low self-esteem. Womb healing is NOT only for trauma, but also benefits women who want to enhance their wellbeing, creativity & spirituality. Benefits include – increased confidence, self-worth, creativity, vitality and joy, healing the body and releasing held stresses, improved reproductive system health, listening to your intuition and trusting yourself, bringing forgiveness to deepest hurts held within the womb, improved health and relationships, a re-connection to feelings that may have been locked away, awakening your soft feminine power, re-opening to passion, excitement, and sensuality, increased connected to the body and yourself, an opening of heart and womb energy, encouraging inner knowing and reconnecting to your soul source essence and purpose. Being in service to women is my soul purpose and my mission is to heal the world one womb at a time.

What will you do with the award?

I.T is my biggest challenge, so I will spend the money on a professional service to update my web page with my new offerings above. Avocado and Red Wine

I am planning to franchise Avocado and Red Wine as a meal prep business to support other passionate home cooks or small cafe business owners that are struggling and would like the opportunity to join my journey. I am working on a framework of empowerment of other women as it will not only create a good revenue stream while offering loads of benefits around the work like balance, but it will also give them an opportunity to grow and develop, not only as business owners but as individuals too. Created on the back of a very stressful situation, in a work place where i could not find myself, I have started building my business as a weekend project with an idea to get a better work life balance. Little did i know then, that on the journey to today, I have not only discovered myself and get a better work life balance but found a way to help others to do the same. There has been loads of tears on the way and loads of learning, but I am now ready to share my story and knowledge and empower others to do the same. The franchise framework will have a holistic approach with a focus on individual needs and mindset as well as set up support, ongoing training, live updates and operational guidance.

Milly Fyfe ® ARAgS

No Fuss Meals for Busy Parents CIC

In 2020, farm entrepreneur and mum of two, Milly Fyfe, began sharing farm life (with growing, cooking and eating) on social media to help people to cook easy meals during the pandemic. This quickly became a means to reduce children’s reliance on processed food and help families through the cost-of-living crisis. We are now building the No Fuss Meals Cookery School based on Milly’s farm to assist with field to fork education, helping parents to cook from scratch using locally produced ingredients. We will use the funding to help with the build cost of the school and to source the utensils for the practical workshops. We will reduce food poverty and mitigate the impact of the cost-of-living crisis: a concern raised by community members in our recent engagement survey. It will provide a space for isolated parents, promote local farmer produce, sustain rural communities, and reduce food waste. The courses will provide advice on using leftovers, simple swaps to whole ingredients, and how to cook using seasonal produce. This will reduce stress in families, support food budgeting, and grow our community.

What will you do with the award?

As a parent and a farmer, Milly understands the challenges of being a parent and has a passion for sharing her expertise to help young families and the farming industry. In November 2023, we issued a community engagement survey to learn more about our community and how we could tailor our projects to meet their needs. Primarily, our audience are parents aged 25 – 44 with young children. From the 750 community members who responded, we learned: • 44% wanted cookery content using seasonal ingredients. • 40% wanted simple guidance of how to prepare and cook easy dishes for their families. • 26% requested in person workshops or practical demonstrations. • 28% requested information on how they could support local farmers. Over 600 members of our community said time, confidence, and money prevent them cooking from scratch and so they tend to rely more on processed food. Using the feedback from our community, we have refined our project. The School will provide the in-person demonstrations, which will help bring the community closer together and generate further benefits such as mental health support. For more information, please visit the website: https://www.nofussmealsforbusyparents.com/ I hope I have provided enough information and you will be able to support this very exciting community project to welcome visitors to the farm and have a better understanding of how to cook with seasonal British produce. The total cost of project is £75,000 and other grants and being sought to support this. £60,000 in capital grant expenditure on building work, kitchen, heating and flooring. £15,000 in kitting out the facility with presentation equipment, seating, cooking utensils, website upgrade and marketing

BabyBlossoms

She Grows with BabyBlossoms I would like to offer a group of eight women, who are currently accessing Fleet House or FortAlice the opportunity to attend a restorative self development workshop. This session will focus on self care, challenging limiting beliefs and goal setting. It will be held at Cheltham Farm, where the women attending will participate in; breath work, chilly dip, lunch, intention setting and a nature walk. I feel this is an opportunity which will challenge old perceptions, beliefs and abilities. If there is any funding left I would then like to take the girls to the Anderson Centre were they can try paddle boarding and canoeing, the purpose of this event is to reinforce self belief, challenge fear and promote working as a team. I have so many activities planned for the families accessing BabyBlossoms, my driving force is to give everybody the opportunity to grow and blossom into their best and happiest self. I was given similar opportunities myself, when I was a young and vulnerable mother, and therefore now I want to give back and offer the same opportunity to others.

Urban Medley

I am looking for a small funding to further our brand awareness- here you can see what we stand for -What is Urban Medley ? A quintessential question to answer my reason for this motivation. Urban Medley is an Amstelveen based responsible lifestyle brand. It is committed to promote the rich heritage of weaving and printing traditions of India. Each of our product is a confluence of modern design and traditional artisanry crafted on sustainable natural fabrics. Responsible first and of course sustainable. The three main pillars around which this venture is formed are; Taking Responsibility -Urban Medley is consciously planet friendly. We use locally sourced materials, and enable artisans to work within their natural habitats. Material wastage is kept at a minimum and every care is taken to reach a zero-pollutant release level during production. Preserving the Past for the Future -Our master craftsmen and weavers pass on their skills through generations. It is through them the unique traditions of hand printing and weaving have survived over centuries. Today they combine these old world traditions with the new world designs making their creations blend with your modern urban life. A luxury steeped in history. Design-Our designers work with our diverse artisan clusters. They introduce contemporary design components and new colour palettes into traditional techniques. The artisans upskill as they learn global trends and fashion sensibilities. With ethical responsible production at the core this medley of the old with new completes the circle. Even though the concept is not unique, and our products are simple what makes us stand out is how we harness the strengths of traditional craftsmanship to reflect modern design and color palettes . Our products easily transcend age and gender, and the sustainable impacts are manifold. Being a small business often funds are scarce for marketing and PR after taking care of operational matters and maintaining inventory.

What will you do with the award?

80% would be used for creating greater brand awareness, reaching out to our ideal clientele. 20% will be used to introduce a new sustainable product line -made by an artisanal cluster based in Kolkata. They use jute as the main fabric combined with leather to create an amazing line of ethical bags for everyday use. Of course we will add resources from our end but this will be a huge help and addition to the marketing project.

C&C Aesthetics

Now I have worked hard on a specific niche and am working on changing the ‘meaning’ of aesthetics from changing a person to empowering a person to become the best version not a different person and the mental health benefits of skincare and a routine I would love to train as a QTLS in aesthetics and skin care. The aim would be to open up academy days that focus on training in natural tweakments rather than everything so we empower more ladies to focus on the real meaning of aesthetics and skincare instead of just following the trends. Also opening up skincare masterclasses to empower women to become confident in their own skin by following simple ‘at home’ routines and also educating on knowing what people are putting on their skin.

What will you do with the award?

The level 5 in teaching anatomy and physiology for aesthetics and skincare is £999.00. Once I have completed this qualification and obtained CPD accredited certification I can then use this to educate so many men & women in such a different way than what is seen on the current market.

Creative-Wellbeing

As women, we step into many roles throughout our lives. All of those roles come with expectations, which to an extent includes how we speak, behave and dress. No wonder we get to our 40’s and have pretty much forgotten who we are. I would like to spend the £1000 on creating an online journalling course which will gently guide women through a series of lessons designed to help them find their authentic selves again. By building a regular journalling habit, we not only get to spend a few precious mindful moments each day but we also connect deeply with our inner dialogue and our true selves. Research has shown that journalling can help us to happier, more resilient, have better immune systems, sleep better, be more focused and even to lose weight. I already have a platform set up on my website to host courses which includes features such as group chat. This would be a great way for everyone on the course to have some accountability as well as peer support. They will learn about different types of journalling and how to make the most out of them as well as being given well-being challenges based on spending time in nature. By the end of the six week course, each participant will have developed a regular habit of self-care and mindfulness and will feel more empowered to make choices that benefit themselves as well as their loved ones and businesses.

We also make every session each month one with lots of crafting. We meet once a month, and finding towards this would be amazing, as we constantly fundraise to give hospitals cold cots and cold blankets after the loss of a child to give families more time. We have also created memory boxes and included ones for various faiths, working with religious leaders and extending this would be something we want to deliver too.

What will you do with the award?

Mentorship Programs: Pair female STEM professionals with young girls to provide guidance, support, and inspiration as they navigate their STEM education and career paths. In Nepal, where the representation of females in STEM fields remains relatively low, mentorship programs play a pivotal role in empowering young girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). By pairing female STEM professionals with aspiring young girls, we can provide invaluable guidance, support, and inspiration as they navigate their educational and career journeys. To add value to such mentorship programs in Nepal, it’s crucial to tailor the initiatives to address the specific challenges and barriers faced by girls in the Nepalese context. This could include considerations such as cultural norms, societal expectations, and access to resources. One approach to enhance the impact of mentorship programs in Nepal is to incorporate elements of cultural sensitivity and community engagement. By fostering connections between mentors and mentees who share similar cultural backgrounds, we can create a sense of relatability and trust, facilitating more meaningful interactions and exchanges of knowledge. Additionally, mentorship programs can be designed to address the unique needs of girls from marginalized communities or remote areas, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. This may involve providing online mentoring platforms, organizing local meet-ups, or partnering with schools and community organizations to reach underserved populations. By prioritizing the Nepalese context and tailoring mentorship programs to address the specific needs of girls in Nepal, we can maximize their impact in fostering a new generation of female STEM leaders who will contribute to the country’s development and innovation.

What will you do with the award?

Here’s a budget outline for a mentorship program aimed at supporting females in STEM fields with a budget of 1000 euros: Mentor Recruitment and Training (300 euros): Allocate funds for advertising and outreach to recruit experienced female STEM professionals willing to volunteer as mentors. Organize training sessions or workshops to equip mentors with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively mentor young girls. Program Administration (200 euros): Cover administrative costs such as program coordination, communication with mentors and mentees, and logistical arrangements. Allocate funds for the development and maintenance of an online platform or communication tools to facilitate mentor-mentee interactions. Mentorship Activities and Resources (300 euros): Allocate funds for organizing mentorship activities such as workshops, seminars, and networking events for mentors and mentees to interact. Provide resources for mentors to purchase educational materials, books, or tools to support their mentoring sessions with mentees. Mentee Support and Recognition (100 euros): Allocate funds to provide support to mentees, such as scholarships, stipends for educational resources, or travel expenses to attend mentorship events. Allocate a portion of the budget for recognizing and rewarding mentees for their achievements and participation in the program. Evaluation and Feedback (100 euros): Allocate funds for conducting evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the mentorship program and gather feedback from mentors and mentees. Cover expenses related to data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform future program improvements and adjustments. Contingency Fund (100 euros): Set aside a contingency fund to cover unforeseen expenses or emergent needs that may arise during the implementation of the program. Total Budget: 1000 euros It’s important to keep detailed records and receipts of all expenditures to ensure transparency and accountability in budget management. Additionally, periodic budget reviews and adjustments may be necessary to ensure optimal utilization of funds and alignment with program goals and objectives.

A Year of Dates/Gifting Sorted

As an ecommerce business we have found that the cost of living crisis has hit our sector hard. Sales are down and marketplaces are an unpredictable place to sell. We run 4 businesses in total, each has their own unique presence and gift solutions, we are building a website that will allow us to put all the gifts in one place – Gifting Sorted. This has been an idea for 3 years now and the website is under construction with an external agency.

What will you do with the award?

The website is almost ready, but once it is live we need to advertise it and optimise the SEO to generate sales. We have self funded this project but the money is not there to complete this, necessary, last step. we would use the money to take on a freelancer to create a marketing plan, launch emails and content to help this take off. It is something we are struggling to find the time to do ourselves, and the money to pay someone else to do.

I have a leadership program with mentoring follow ups. It is designed for existing and emerging leaders. I’d like to offer this to young business women who simply cannot afford it. I want to provide a practical, no nonsense and relatable half day masterclass on how to make you an invincible leader. I don’t just mean a leader in name or job title, I mean an excellent one. Be Kind Movement

Be Kind Movement (BKM) is an award winning small volunteer-led charity that builds emotional intelligence (EQ) in children and young people using short films as a tool for improved emotional wellbeing, mental health and a kinder school environment. Our founder, Premila Puri’s childhood experiences of bullying and the direct impact a culture lacking in kindness had on her as a young person influenced the creation of BKM. Education, Health and Wellbeing are long-standing goals of the UN and BKM has set its sights on transforming lives through delivering a quality educational programme focused on building EQ that is equally fundamental, as the pursuit of academic excellence. Kindness in School Programme™ (KISP) helps improve children’s lives by equipping them with core life skills to tackle issues in the playground as children today, and as adults tomorrow. To this effect, BKM has curated a diverse catalogue of short films, each telling a unique story. From trans stories (Sequins), Newbie (disability) Muslim role models (ITSY), bullying (The Bus Stop), children as carers (Clouds) to animations covering homelessness, racism and cyberbullying issues, BKM’s curriculum aims to touch every aspect of diversity and kindness. KISP™ delivers kindness workshops to children living in high deprivation communities that embed 10 kindness values or core life skills that positively influence their approach to life. These values further help them to build emotional intelligence (EQ) skills such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making skills, all of which aids mental, social and emotional wellbeing in children.

Maman Day Care

I would love to start a childcare business. With the increased demand in childcare, my vision is to create an affordable childcare centre where children are being looked after by professional childminders. The centre will provide training for all the staff, so that the best interest of the children is of paramount consideration.

What will you do with the award?

The money will go towards renting the property where the business will be carried out.

What will you do with the award?

Given the impactful work we’ve already accomplished at Umanitar, the investment of 1000 euros into collaborating with an influential advertising personality who embodies the ethos of social betterment would be transformative. This public figure’s endorsement would significantly amplify our message, attracting more collaborators and participants to our training programs. The investment would not only elevate our brand but would also catalyze further reach into communities and institutions that could benefit from our expertise in project management, ultimately accelerating the pace of positive change and social impact globally.
